Blue Ribbon Supports Nxuba Community Through Bread Donation

Date:

4 March 2026 Food brand Blue Ribbon has extended support to communities in the Nxuba Municipality through a series of outreach initiatives aimed at assisting vulnerable residents.

In partnership with Faries of Art, the Blue Ribbon team contributed to a local soup kitchen focused on feeding underprivileged members of the community. On 4 March 2026, the team donated 40 loaves of brown bread to support meal preparations at the Nxuba location.

The initiative forms part of the company’s broader commitment to community upliftment and social support.

Blue Ribbon also partnered with Meals on Wheels during a Thursday soup kitchen at the Ramaphosa location in Graaff-Reinet. During the visit, the team donated 60 loaves of bread and actively assisted in serving meals to community members.

As part of the outreach, beneficiaries received small gifts, including yo-yos for children and lanyards and cellphone badges for adults, adding a personal touch to the initiative.

The company further extended its support to learners at Van Der Merwe Memorial School in Middelburg. A total of 100 school bags, 100 stationery packs, and 100 sweets were distributed to pupils in need, helping to ensure they have essential resources for their education.

These initiatives highlight Blue Ribbon’s ongoing efforts to make a meaningful impact in communities by addressing both immediate needs, such as food security, and long-term priorities like education
