Ordination service
“The ordination of Apostle Lukas Adams into the Apostolic Ministry on Sunday 19 October last year at the PPK Church in Santaville was a great occasion by the Church of the New Testament” said Bishop D. Paul Solomons in Cape Town.
“It is herewith certified that Lukas Adams has fulfilled the Biblical and Church requirements and is thus ordained in the office of Apostle (Ephesians 4:11), and he Himself gave some to be Apostles, some Prophets, some Evangelists, some Pastors and Teachers” confirmed the Bishop.
The fully packed church with members of the community and other members from different denominations witnessed the emotional ceremony as the Adams family was roped with the Apostolic garment.
Apostle Lukas Adams repented and was baptized at the Rapha Church in 1997 here in Graaff-Reinet. As a member, he was active in church activities, in church services, outreaches and youth programs. He later became a youth leader at the Rapha Mission church. In 2012 they met the leadership of the New Testament Church in George while his wife Francis was working at the George hospital with pastor Maggie Damons as a colleague. It was in 2013 that a branch of the Church of the New Testament was established here in Graaff-Reinet under the supervision of Apostle Daniel Damons and his wife Pastor Maggie Damons. Adams serviced the lord as Evangelist in the church as local leader with reliable support and faith to the congregants of Graaff-Reinet.
Bishop Solomons during the ceremony said “Ek glo nie dat ek moet mense promote op grond van wat ook al” (I don’t believe that I need to promote people on the grounds of ‘whatever’) He believed that the church of Mighty God needs to be driven to be led and inspired by the Holy Spirit, but there needs to be people, men and women that are available and not just anyone. God is looking for men and for women whose arts are undivided, whose minds are set and who stand firm. “Let us not play, let us not pretend, let us not try to impress people, try to please people, but to do the will and work of Mighty God because it is a responsibility” as he emphasized.

Adams is a true and patient servant of God, . God needs men and women where there is quality and character and instilled by the Holy Spirit. He stood the test of time, trials and tribulations. it was not easy, but it was worth it. He thanked the congregation who stood with him. He also thanked the Damons, Pastor Maggie and Apostle being a catalyst to the Adams family to the establishment of the Church of the New Testament in Graaff–Reinet.
Adams in his turn thanked the Holy spirit in presence and the community of Graaff-Reinet for their support
